The old sawmill was shut down when the mine was shut down, but fifteen years ago, the current owner, who had it freshened up and remodelled into an art gallery, bought the building. Large windows were installed, which give an exceptional view of the lake. Inside, much of the rough stonewalls have been preserved, giving a contrast between the light from the windows and high ceiling.

The gallery is famous and has held some widely acclaimed exhibitions, as well as discovering many fresh young talents. Art lovers travel long distances to see the exhibitions.
