For those who want to go further than what goes on in the Bluetit, The Bird Nest is a house of negotiable affections. Most people know the name, but it does not advertise its location and few people actually know where it is or even if it really exists or if it is just a myth. Actually, it is probably the oldest still running business in the town since the mine closed down, originally started in the early 1800’s as a result of the town at that time having an almost exclusively male population. It has moved on several occasions, but business has always been up and running. During the prohibition, it was also one of the few places where you could still get alcohol (which was made in just about every forest cabin around the town).

Even though it is illegal, no sheriff has yet dared to shut it down, even though they all probably has known enough about it to do it. There are simply too many powerful citizens in the clientele and it would most likely be a career suicide.

For being this kind of business, it still runs a fairly clean operation. The girls often have other day jobs and have this as an extra income, sometimes to finance university studies or other economical needs. The establishment takes their security seriously and if they complain about a customer he will be barred forever (business is good enough to run at full speed even if some customers are turned down). Most girls have a one customer a night policy and they get paid well.
