The intent of Generica is to promote roleplaying and to provide a foundation for gamers to build their own games on. If there is anything unclear in the terms of usage, the interpretation that best fits this intent is the correct. If you are just using it to play with your friends, almost anything is allowed. If you are making modifications, worlds, scenarios or other stuff for Generica and make it available for the public, there are some things you need to consider.

You are encouraged to create and expand based in Generica. This is what creates a healthy community and an active hobby, which everybody will benefit from. These rules are much more generous than most similar rules, so please read them and follow the few restrictions that do exist.

Since most independent game developers are not likely to bring the case to court, consider these rules a code of honour. By using Generica, you give your word of honour that you will adhere to these rules.
